As a Design Consultant (Sales Consultant), you will be the one who visits the customers in their home, estimates & closes the deal. You will be responsible for educating the clients on the possibilities, researching & qualifying the application, and prescribing the perfect solution for their needs. Your focus will be on selling custom installations of Fireplaces, Stoves, Fascia, Flooring, etc.
The overarching goal for this role will be to “Close the Deal” on any large job that must be measured or specified. Specifically, you will pick up on the sales process where the Showroom Consultant left off. You will continue to motivate them, present solutions, & make the close. You’ll take a customer-centric approach to our prospects and customers, and create a “wow experience” so unique that they can’t help but talk about our company…..think Ritz Carlton.
Contribute to the team by achieving individual goals. On a daily basis, you’ll work with customers, leadership, and the Showroom Consultants to ensure that all customers are being serviced properly and up to our company’s standards. This role will involve being present in a showroom & ready to go perform site consultations at a moment’s notice. While you are not in store consulting, performing site evaluations, and doing what’s necessary to close deals in their pipeline, then you are proactively prospecting for new business opportunities & joint ventures.

To be a good fit for the Sales Design Consultant role, you should have: sales experience, an outgoing personality, a strong desire to succeed, and a demonstrated ability to: Build relationships and provide outstanding customer service. Deliver a sales plan; follow-up on in-house leads; prospect for new business. Convert prospects and close deals while meeting and exceeding sales goals. Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques. Construction industry experience is a plus. Interior design experience is a plus. Skill and experience using software, such as MS Office Suite applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or CRM software. A valid driver’s license.
